How SMES can enlarge their beaches with technology

In 2011, the Enterprise Development Center (EDC) Pan African University had a round discussion. One of the things that came out of the talks, according to Peter Bamkole, EDC Director, “is that we need to be more involved with ourselves, and it interacts in various ways to promote our business.”

So, EDC took it. And somewhere around March/April this year, the Center began to Facebook, LinkedIn in the SME Toolkit.

SME toolkit is a project of small and medium enterprises (SMES) Department and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) Enterprise Development Service (EDC), an initiative of the Pan-African University, Nigeria the SME Toolkit offers free business management information and training to small businesses.

With the toolkit, You can learn how to start a business, writing a business plan, get access to finance, do small business accounting, getting a loan, and more. SME Toolkit is a web resource for small businesses and entrepreneurs in emerging markets, including Africa, Asia, Latin America, and Eastern Europe. This is intended to help build the capacity of the small business sector in developing countries by providing access to information, access to markets, access to finance, and access to the best online management training in the world and tools for SMES.
